Egypt Creek Ranch 2008 Production Sale Results
May 31, 2008 Bowling Green, Ky. 59 potential buyers signed up for bidders numbers at the third annual Egypt Creek Ranch Kiko Production Sale. When the bidding was over, 34 buyers from 14 states had purchased approximately 126 head of Kiko purebreds and percentages. 35 head of 100% New Zealand Kiko does sold for an average price of $927. The high-selling doe was Lot #7, a yearling SKY Sports Kat daughter out of a Nick daughter. The BBM Kikos consignment was purchased by Warren Barnes of Summersville, Mo., for $1,600. 22 head of 100% New Zealand bucks sold for an average price of $747. The high-selling buck (and the highest-selling Kiko in the sale) was Lot #85, a double-bred Southwest Cisco buck out of ECR Rusty. ECR Southwest Shaw was purchased by David Diesch of Bloomville, Ohio, for $2,300. 38 head of purebred Kiko does sold for an average price of $497. Prices ranged from $275 to $850. 8 head of purebred Kiko bucks sold for an average price of $587. The high-selling purebred buck was Lot #86, a 3-year-old son of CCR Xcelerator. ECR Sinbad was purchased by Candy McCoy of Coshocton, Ohio, for $1,500. Approximately two dozen 50% and 75% Kiko does and doelings sold from $125 to $275 each. One Boki doe bred to a 100% NZ buck sold for $500. Ms. McCoy also was the volume buyer, purchasing a total of 17 head. High-dollar buyer was Randy LeClair of Elkin, N.C., who purchased one New Zealand buck and 10 New Zealand does for a total of $10,500. |
